Biography
I am so glad to have joined the team of healthcare professionals at Lambeth Chiropractic and Holistic Center. I think it is very rare to find a group of people who are so dedicated in finding ways to improve the lives and health of our clients. It’s a joy to work with such like-minded people as we journey along the path to wellness with our clients.
I have had four years of clinical practice. I previously worked at a very busy massage clinic and found it was missing that client care and concern aspect that I have found here in Lambeth.
I graduated from the Darcy Lane Institute of massage therapy in May 2006. My training consisted of 2 years of intensive study of anatomy, pathology, physiology, clinical practice, orthopedic assessment and massage techniques such as trigger point therapy, fascial release, hydrotherapy and sports injury massage. Areas of interest include myofascial release, injuries/accidents, headaches, prenatal massage and postural concerns. My focus is to help patients through assessment and treatment, along with preventative and rehabilitative goals. After experiencing a lower back injury in my mid twenties and being told by doctors that there was nothing to be done about my injuries, just pain I would have to live with or medicate. I refused to succumb to this and I found the catalyst for beginning my career as a massage therapist.
I am committed to my profession and I have experience in a broad range of pathologies, including rotator cuff problems, sciatic nerve issues, neck pain, hip imbalances, headaches, stress-related issues and pregnancy massage. I mostly use deep tissue release techniques, myofascial, joint mobilizations. The main focus of my practice is on rehabilitative massage therapy but I also have experience in therapeutic exercise, sports injury massage and relaxation massage. I am also trained in Ultrasound and Hot Stone Massage.
