Amy McElroy Registered Massage Therapist

Amy McElroy has been practising massage therapy with the Lambeth Chiropractic and Wellness Centre team since 2015. She graduated with honours from Medix College. Amy is an Instructor in the RMT program at Medix College, happy to share her knowledge with students.

Amy originally learned of the benefits of massage therapy through her extensive work with Standardbred racehorses. When she decided on a career change, she focused on massage therapy for people. Amy has been interested in holistic health care for a number of years, and regularly uses natural forms of treatment on herself, as well as her dogs and horse.

Amy regularly personalizes treatment plans for a variety of ailments. She has a personal interest in postural dysfunctions, overuse and sports injuries, pregnancy and neurological conditions.

Amy has completed continuing education in Kinesio Taping and is now happy to include it in her treatments. Kinesio Taping is a rehabilitative technique that assists the body’s natural healing process. It can support and stabilize muscles, joints and fascia without restricting range of motion. It can also be used to decrease pain and inflammation and increase lymphatic drainage.

When Amy is not working with clients, she can be found reading, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, or riding and pampering her horse.

Amy is relocating her practice to northern Ontario.  Her last day with clients is September 25, 2020
