The key to better health could be right under your toes. Prescription orthotics look like insoles, but are biomechanical medical appliances that are custom molded to the support requirements of your feet. Orthotics work on your feet much like glasses work on your eyes-they reduce stress and strain on your body by bringing your feet back into proper alignment. Peak Performance and Orthotics offers free Orthotic consultations to determine whether orthotics are indicated.

The team are able to provide clients  a “ fit to measurement” and “ custom measured” graded compression socks and stockings for women and men. Graduated compression socks and stockings are designed for people who are mobile. They are not just for “ Grandma” anymore.

Elite and recreational athletes have discovered the benefits of compression wear in decreasing recovery times by promoting faster uptake of lactic acid and increasing overall venous circulation. On a daily basis, anyone who stands or sits for long periods of time but is otherwise healthy, can benefit from wearing compression socks. Clients who wear them experience decreased leg fatigue and heaviness and increased overall energy. Pregnant women, people with spider veins or varicose veins, swelling in the ankles or lower limbs and anyone who travels will benefit from compression wear.

The team is also trained in the field of “Fit to measurement” and “Custom Measured” bracing for knees, ankle, wrists, backs, elbows and shoulders. Braces can be used after an injury to prevent further damage and reduce pain and post surgically, for added stability, for daily activities or when participating in sports. They can assist with braces and supports to help with forearm tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, ankle instability and rollover tendency and “off loading” braces for osteoarthritis of the knee. Quality bracing products are provided from companies such as Ossur, Bledsoe and Breg.

Products may be covered under extended benefits with a prescription.
